TCI and Tides Canada Foundation work towards common goals. They are separate legal entities but share some staff and members of their respective Boards of Directors.

Tides Canada Foundation is a national public foundation involved in grant making and providing strategic charitable giving services to donors. Sage Centre is a mission-driven charity that delivers programs focused on conservation, environmental education and research, leadership development, civic engagement, and building capacity for the charitable sector.

Since start-up in December 2000, Tides Canada Foundation has granted over $35 million to hundreds of charities and charitable initiatives working on environmental sustainability and social justice. To date, Tides Canada Initiatives has invested over $19 million in delivering projects and programs.
